What to Bring to Your QHHT Session: A Simple Preparation Guide

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

If your session is coming up, you might be wondering how to get ready for it. I love that question, because it usually means you’re already excited! The good news is that a QHHT session requires very little prep work. You don’t need to study, meditate for weeks, or follow a special diet to get the body ready. You just get to show up and experience something new. That said, a few little comforts go a long way over a full day together, so here is what to bring to your QHHT session to make it feel easy from the moment you walk in.

A Little Water

Before we ever begin the hypnosis, you and I spend a good while just talking. That conversation lasts longer than most people expect, and all that talking can leave you a little parched. Bringing your own water means you can reach for it whenever you need it.

Something to Eat

Our time together usually runs six to eight hours, so you may want to plan to eat at some point. You’re welcome to bring food and have it right here in my office. There’s a refrigerator you’re free to use, though I don’t have a microwave, so anything you can enjoy cold or at room temperature is your best bet. If you’d rather pick something up on your way in, there’s a Dunkin just around the corner and a few other spots close by. The one thing to keep in mind is that once we settle in, we stay put and don’t leave mid-session, so it’s worth coming prepared. And remember to skip the caffeine and any other stimulants beforehand. They tug your mind in the opposite direction from where we’re headed.

Whatever Feels Cozy

People are sometimes surprised when I tell them this, but there’s no need to dress up. I don’t. Sweats, loungewear, your softest, comfiest anything is more than welcome, and it genuinely helps. Comfortable clothes invite that lovely, nap-like ease that lets your mind soften and drift, which is exactly the state where the good work happens. If a blanket from home would help you feel even more at home, please bring it. I always have one ready for you.

Your Questions

This is the one that matters most. QHHT is built entirely around the questions you carry in with you, the ones you long to ask your higher self, your soul, your subconscious. So take your time and write down as many as you’d like. The big ones, the small ones, the practical worries, and the tender ones you’ve maybe never said out loud. This is your chance to hear from a far wider perspective than the everyday mind, and the more love and thought you pour into your list beforehand, the more you’ll carry home from your time in the chair.

Beyond that, there’s really nothing else you need. Bring these few things, come exactly as you are, and let the day unfold!
